Description
Grundfos BMEX pump system is suitable for water treatment applications that manage seawater and brackish water desalination. Through the special design for the handling of desalination all the wetted parts are suitable for seawater. For example, all pump materials that come into contact with seawater are made of 904L stainless steel or Duplex stainless steel. In addition, the materials that come into contact with water inside the pressure reducer are made of Duplex stainless steel and ceramic.
The BMEX pressure unit consists of:
- A BME pump with high pressure supply
- One or more X-Changers
- A BM pump with high pressure circulation made of high quality stainless steel
- A Variable Frequency Transmission
- The BMEX booster system is based on the hydraulic equipment of Grundfos SP_R submersible pumps and an ERD (Energy Recovery Device)
Note: The base frame and manifold are optional for X-Changers.
The pressure boost system is used for the following:
Seawater desalination in a reverse osmosis system, ie SWRO systems (SWRO = Sea Water Reverse Osmosis - Reverse osmosis for seawater desalination)
